Trick or Treating Events and Hours

It’s time to get costumes in order, for Trick or Treating is right around the corner.

First up is Wildwood Zoo, which will be hosting its popular trick or treating event on Oct. 14. Dress up, play games, take a train ride, fill out a passport, and see the animals (including your very own balloon animal).

On October 27, participating downtown Marshfield businesses will be handing out candy from 4-5:30 p.m., starting at BMO Harris & Main Street Marshfield Office.

Main Street Marshfield expects a turnout of over 1,000 children, and has taken measures to make the event safer than ever.

“This year for the first time, because of the popularity of the event, we’re really lucky to be working with the Police Department on street closure,” said Kaelie Gomez, executive director of Main Street Marshfield.

Veterans Parkway to Sixth Street will be closed, and Veterans to Eighth Street. There will also be crossing guards at street crossings.

The organization is also collaborating with Immanuel Lutheran, which is hosting a trunk-‘n-treat event starting at five, with candy and cheap grill-out options from 5-6:45. Contact them to register your decorated trunk.

The Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library is hosting a free Halloween Festival Parade day for kids on Oct. 28 from 11-1 p.m. Musician Randy Peterson will delight with songs and stories, and afterwards kids can trick or treat through the library. Costumes are optional. Pick up your ticket at the Children’s Information Desk beginning Oct 21.

Also check out Malloween, occurring October 31 from 5-7:30 at the Marshfield Mall. Kids can trick or treat from store to store, play games, and win prizes for costumes.
