Join Main Street Marshfield for their Rock the Block party at Hardacre Park on Friday, Oct. 13.
While there isn’t any significance to it being held on Friday the 13th, the event promises to be a fun time with free hot chocolate, a beer tent with brands like Leinie’s Oktoberfest and Redd’s Apple Ale, and live music. Next door restaurant Crabby Dave’s will be serving their classic Wisconsin fish fry.
Back by popular demand is ‘70s/’80s rock band, Rising Phoenix, who played at the Summer Block Party in June but got hit with a severe downpour of rain.
“We brought back Rising Phoenix because they didn’t really have a chance to play,” said Kaelie Gomez, executive director of Main Street Marshfield, adding that she was thankful for the people who helped hold down tents and clean up during the deluge. “They’re considered an up-and-coming band.”
Sit at tables or snuggle up to one of the new outdoor heaters while jamming out to the band. The Rock the Block party is free admission and runs from 7-11 p.m.
