Halloween Wine Hits Shelves at Festival Foods

Around Halloween you can encounter a few spirits — even if they’re just on the grocery store shelf.

At Festival Foods, these “spirits” can be used to mix together a festive cocktail for your get-together. The following is called a “Zombie Brain Shot.”

2/3 part peach schnapps
1 dash Crème de methe
¼ part Baileys irish crème
1 dash grenadine

Or, if you’re more into wine, this time of year Door Peninsula Winery rolls out its Halloween wine selection, which includes Witches Brew, Mummy Moscato, and Hallowine.

Witches Brew is described as a semi-dry blend of Syrah, plum, and strawberry wine. Mummy Moscato is “refreshing, with notes of pear and orange blossom fit for a Pharaoh,” according to the Door Peninsula Winery website. Perfect for fall, Hallowine is an apple wine spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg, which can be served warm.
