Musical Trick or Treating Program Returns to Marshfield Public Library

Dress up in costume and join a fun musical program for kids at the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library.

Join the festivities of the Halloween Fall Festival Parade Day on Sat. Oct. 28. Kids three and up can come dressed in their favorite costumes for a musical program and trick or treating.

Children’s musician Randy Peterson will entertain kids with music and storytelling for singalong fun. The performance will last about 45 minutes, and afterwards kids will get to parade across the library for trick or treating at five different locations.

“Randy Peterson has been here for all sixteen years and parents and children look forward to his coming each year,” said Kim Ropson, librarian, adding that people looking for a kid-friendly Halloween event should consider coming. “He’s is a fabulous entertainer and the kids love to parade through the library and show off their costumes.”

There are two performance times at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The event is free but a registration ticket is required to attend, and tickets can be picked up starting Oct. 21 at the Children’s Information Desk. Children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Costumes are encouraged but optional.
