Hub City Days Adds New Family Zone

Area Will Include Kids Carnival, Activities

A new addition to Hub City Days called the Family Zone will be the perfect spot for young families to enjoy the festivities on Saturday from 10-4 p.m.

Located in front of the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library on Maple Avenue, the Family Zone will include a Kids Carnival, balloon artist, Hiller’s True Value bouncy Houses, caricatures, Henna, crazy hair, face painting, and vehicles from the Marshfield police and fire departments. Nearby, the first annual Chalk-a-Palooza by Simplicity Credit Union invites teams to sign up and create chalk masterpieces.

“We recognized that this is a community that’s very family oriented with a lot of young kids,” said Kaelie Gomez, Executive Director of Main Street Marshfield. “We wanted to make sure that we were serving them just as much as we were serving all other ages of the community.”

The new layout of Hub City Days keeps family activities on one end of the car show within easy walking distance of each other. Food vendors, including ice cream, will be available at the Family Zone.
