Youth Animal Exploration Day Offered at UW

Explore – UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield Continuing Education is offering a Youth Animal Exploration Day for Grades 3-6 on October 15 (Marshfield School District Day Off).

The program will run 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. and feature a wide variety of guests and special animal visitors. Learn fascinating facts about various animals— where they live, what they eat and the biology behind their behaviors. Find out what to do if you encounter a stray animal and discover various careers dealing with animals.

Guest speakers include the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter, Marshfield Police Department, Raptor Education Group, UW-Stevens Point reptile and amphibian society and Natural History Museum Manager, and Biology Professor, Laura Lee.

The cost is $49 and includes all supplies and snack. Students should bring a pack lunch. Before and after program care available, please call Continuing Education for details.
