Free Live Animal Series Coming Wednesdays
Kids can learn all about animals every week this summer through Wild Wednesdays, a live animal series at the Wildwood Station Building.
“We’re very excited for the 2018 Wild Wednesday Program sponsored by ProVision Partners!” said Zookeeper Steve Burns. “Each presenter is selected for their ability to deliver a fun, educational, hands-on, unique experience for our guests.”
All of the shows are free and open to the public, thanks to sponsorship, but donations are appreciated. “ProVision Partners Cooperative is proud to partner with the Wildwood Zoo to put on Wild Wednesdays,” said Angie Schiller, Credit/Marketing Assistant. “It’s a great program to sponsor to give hands-on educational experiences to the youth in the local communities. Giving hands-on experiences sparks a fire of interest for their future educational dreams and aspirations.”
The series will kick off with Remarkable Reptiles on June 13 at 11 and 1 with each program lasting 45 minutes. Kids will learn all about reptiles from Jim Gerholdt, author of 32 children’s books on insects, reptiles, amphibians, snakes, spiders, and birds.
“I encourage everyone to come and check one (or all of them) out! For the second straight year, we are offering several evening show times to accommodate our working families,” said Burns.
