The residents of Wildwood Zoo are celebrating Valentine’s Day with special enrichment designed around the holiday.
Cougars Thunder and Star celebrated Valentine’s Day for the first time in their brand new exhibit with special treats, enjoying steak, chicks, cantaloupe, and whipped cream. The cougars moved into their new exhibit in October.
Enrichment provided by zookeepers is an important part of caring for animals in a zoo environment to encourage natural behavior.
The zoo’s other residents, including the foxes, wolves, and even the snake, enjoyed treats as well.
