Veterans Day 2022 is Friday, November 11th.

Listed below are a few local community events and ways to honor those who have served our country this Veterans Day.

American Legion Post 54

Thursday, November 10th, 2022 | 5 pm – Hosting a social hour at 5 pm and dinner at 6 pm. Raffle drawing, army stew, and announcement of “Vet of the Year” to follow the dinner. 1104 S. Oak Ave., Marshfield, WI

Friday, November 11th, 2022 | 11 am Veterans Day Program at Veterans Park. Prayer, Mayoral proclamation. 206 W. Park St., Marshfield, WI

Marshfield High School

Thursday, November 10th, 2022 | 8-10 am – Veterans Day Breakfast courtesy of Marshfield High School, FFA, FCCLA, and Student Council. Free for all veterans + 1. Marshfield High School, 1401 E. Becker Rd., Marshfield, WI. Drive-through is available near Greenhouse Circle Drive. 

Wood County Veterans Memorial

Friday, November 11th, 2022 | 1 pm – Veterans Day Dedication and addition of five Veterans who have died due to service-related illnesses to the memorial. Performing Arts Center, 1801 16th St. S., Wisconsin Rapids, WI

Hub City Winds at UWSP Marshfield

Friday, November 11th, 2022 | 7:30 pm – Concert, “A Salute to Heros: Music for America’s Finest” by the Hub City Symphony.  Helen Connor Laird Theatre, 200 W. 5th St., Marshfield, WI. 

Veterans Wall of Honor

You can visit the Wall of Honor located at the Marshfield Community Center. The Wall now has over 2500 names and 29 panels; from Civil War veterans, Spanish-American War veterans, WWI veterans, WW2 veterans, Korean War veterans, and all veterans who have served. 211 E. 2nd St., Marshfield, WI

Marshfield Area Cemeteries

Veterans interred in the following Marshfield area cemeteries may be memorialized on the Veterans Wall of Honor: Brooklawn Memorial, Gate of Heaven, Hillside, Immanuel Lutheran, or McMillan Memorial cemeteries.
