South Side Dairy Queen Opens for Season

Dairy Queen Showcases New Look, Same Great Treats

Along with spring brings the return of more ice cream to Central Wisconsin. Dairy Queen’s south side (1600 S Roddis) location opened yesterday and introduced their new look in the process.

“We actually have done cosmetic changes to both locations this year,” said Laura Cooper, General Manager. “DQ corporate has a new color palette and we were excited to enhance the look and warmth of our locations.”

Along with a new look, there are also new food offerings.

“At south store this year, our new focus is family pack meals with pressure steamed buns,” said Cooper. “This enhances flavor quality dramatically and separates the DQ Fan experience from other food locations.”

Cooper encourages everyone to stop by to taste some great treats and old time hot eats.

“We are close to the zoo, and what could be better than picking up a family pack to take to the zoo and have a picnic?” she said. “Our family packs consist of 8 hot dogs or 8 chili cheese dogs, or the split pack, which is 4 bbq beef and 4 hot dogs. All of these come with chips.”

With upcoming summer promotions and a new special treat coming in May, there are many reasons to check out the newly-remodeled Dairy Queen.

“We have a well trained staff eager and excited to serve our community,” said Cooper. “See you soon!”
