Dunkin’ Donuts Memorial to Fallen Officer

Dunkin’ Donuts Pays Tribute to Detective Jason Weiland

Marshfield’s Dunkin’ Donuts location is adorned in blue today, in memory of fallen officer Jason Weiland. The 40-year-old detective and 15-year veteran of the Everest Metro Police Department was killed on Thursday after being shot while responding to a domestic dispute turned shooting spree, which also resulted in the deaths of two bank employees, Dianne Look and Karen Barclay, and attorney Sara Quirt Sann.

With an abundance of blue donuts for sale, and with blue flowers adorning the tables, the store was transformed into a memorial. A donation jar was provided for those wanting to help the family financially, while a notebook on the counter gave visitors an opportunity to write words of thanks and comfort to Weiland’s family.

Dunkin’ Donuts also invited officers for a free donut and small coffee, to thank them for their service.

Dunkin’ Donuts is open from 5am to 9PM at 915 N Central Ave.
