6th Annual “Run Your Nutz Off” Announced

This Year’s RYNO Fundraiser To Help Muscular Dystrophy Association

Start preparing now to Run Your Nutz Off (RYNO) on Saturday, August 19th! The 6th Annual run will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Wisconsin with all funds staying local.

Ann Dieringer spearheads the event and will be participating in her first marathon for this great cause.

“We chose the MDA because we would like to help bring strength, independence, and life to kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related muscle-debilitating diseases. Every dollar enables MDA to enhance support and care, offer the highest quality programs and accelerate research efforts to bring more treatments to families faster,” she said.

New to the run this year is a two and five mile professionally timed race. A post-race celebration will be held at Nutz Deep II which includes a beer garden, food, silent auction and drawings. Early bird registration is $25 if signed up before August 1st and $30 if after.

“Last year we raised over $16,000 for the recipient. Each year our event grows in both participants and events happening throughout the day. Last year we had about 350 runners/walkers and this year we hope to attract more,” said Dieringer.

Run day kicks off at 8:30 am at Nutz Deep II with check in’s. The two mile run begins at 9:45 while the five mile run starts at 10:00 am.

This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome. Families with strollers can participate, but no rollerblades or pets. Medals will be awarded for the top three women and men in each race.

Dieringer added that she is proud of the effort put forth by the participants and supporters.

“This is a way for us to be able to give back to the community and bring people together to have a great time for an awesome cause.”
