RiverEdge to host Marshfield Clinic Child Life Bash

Child Life Program Helps Young Patients Have Comfort and Care

Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation (MCHS) invites all to a fun-filled evening of food, music, raffles and auction to benefit the Child Life Program. On Thursday, June 8th, RiverEdge Golf Course, Marshfield, will host the Child Life Bash.

Special Events Coordinator, Anna Selk, said this event promises to be a good time for a great cause. “At the Foundation we’re most excited about the opportunity to bring a fun new event to our community, with the added bonus that it benefits the Child Life Program helping our littlest patients have the comfort, care, and treatment they need.”

The Child Life Program is designed to help make children comfortable while they are undergoing medical treatment. Whether it is a surgical procedure or a long term treatment such as chemotherapy, an extra shoulder is there to lean on. Child Life Specialists help to minimize stress and anxiety in children and their families by providing support and explanations of medical treatments.

The night kicks off at 5:30 pm with Hors d’oeuvres, Cocktails, raffles and live music by Boogie Wonderland. At 7:00 pm will be the auction and at 8:00 pm will be the raffle drawings. More live music will follow.

Based out of Minneapolis, Boogie Wonderland will bring out the dancer in everyone as they pay tribute to the best of disco. Wear your bell bottoms and put on your go-go boots as you dance the night away.

Individual tickets are $50. For those under the age of 35, the ticket price is $35. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.marshfieldclinic.org/child-life-bash or calling Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation 715-387-9249.
