Hot Drinks for Cold Days in Marshfield

Single-digit temperatures are possible toward the end of the week and into Christmas here in Marshfield. Here are our favorite hot and cozy beverage recipes to keep you toasty—courtesy of Festival Foods.

Raspberry Hot Cocoa

Ingredients
1 cup Kemps 1% Chocolate Milk
1 Tbsp. raspberry jam
Optional toppings: Whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, and fresh or frozen raspberries.
Directions
  1. Place Kemps 1% Chocolate Milk and raspberry jam into a microwave-safe mug.
  2. Microwave for 1-1 ½ minutes or to the desired temperature.
  3. Top with favorite toppings and enjoy.

Irish Coffee (Adult Beverage)

Ingredients
1 cup hot coffee
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 ½ oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
1 oz. Baileys Irish Cream
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients except whipped cream in coffee mug and stir.
  2. Top with whipped cream as desired.

Tom & Jerry (Adult Beverage)

Ingredients
1 oz. dark rum
1 oz. brandy
Hot milk or water
Ground nutmeg, for serving
Directions
  1. Add mix, dark rum and brandy to a mug.
  2. Fill with hot milk or water, stirring constantly until the drink is foamy.
  3. Sprinkle with ground nutmeg and serve warm.

Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Ingredients
1 cup Kemps 1% Chocolate Milk
1 tsp. peppermint extract
Optional toppings: Whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, and Andes Creme De Menthe® Baking Chips.
Directions
  1. Place Kemps 1% Chocolate Milk and raspberry jam into a microwave-safe mug.
  2. Microwave for 1-1 ½ minutes or to the desired temperature.
  3. Top with favorite toppings and enjoy.
