With or without the title of Dairy State, Wisconsinites are true fans of their cheese.
Festival Foods will host Cheese Fest from November 28 through December 4 that features a variety of brands and cheese flavors on sale by the produce section. Sampling is offered Thursday-Sunday from 11-6 p.m.
“Especially during the holidays, it gives our guests the opportunity to have different cheeses at the house,” said Matthew Woller, Deli Leader. Plus, the sale allows them to try something they wouldn’t normally.
Though guests may be familiar with the wine-and-cheese pairing, Festival Foods will mix it up by offering beers that go well with the sale items. For example, an imperial stout could be paired with a sharp cheddar or gouda, an amber ale with medium cheddar or parmesan, and a porter beer with Gruyère, according to Woller. Single bottles can be purchased and paired with other kinds as part of the Pick 6 program, where guests can pick six bottles and receive a discount.
For those who’d rather stick with wine, save $2 off cheese with the purchase of a Cavit wine. Round out the cheese platter with additional deals on crackers and sausage. Discounts can be viewed at the weekly ad, at FestFoods.com.
Festival Foods is open 24/7 at 1613 N Central Ave.
