Self-Serve Pet Wash Unique to Marshfield
Marshfield Area Pet Shelter adoptable dogs Kiff and Koka visited the Baltus Pet Wash last week for a free bath and to showcase the business’s unique commodity.
“Both girls were having fun from the car ride to the pet wash all the way back to the shelter where they got dirty again right away!” said Kaitlin Loberg, MAPS shelter manager. “These sweet girls did such a great job though and allowed the baths. They love meeting new people so having the kind Baltus staff shower them with affection was a big bonus for them as well. These two dogs would make anyone a very loyal and loving companion.”
Baltus provides all the self-washing tools needed to make any dog look and smell great – all in a climate-controlled environment. At the pet wash, owners can treat their pet to a gentle, warm water bath followed by a warm air drier. Shampoo, conditioner, ear cleaner, and other products are available, though owners are welcome to bring their own products if they would prefer. Baltus staff cleans and disinfects the Pet Wash after use.
“This is the only pet wash in town that is self-serve,” said Cas Kasco, Manager.
Pets walk up a convenient ramp and can be secured with a tie-down leash for their safety.
“Simply insert payment, select the desired function, squeeze the shower head, and clean up afterwards,” said Cass, adding that there are benefits to using the Baltus Pet Wash over a home tub.
“You don’t have to clean out the drain. You don’t have to worry about them shaking off and getting everything soaked. They are at height level, so you don’t have to bend over and hurt your back and knees,” she said.
$7.00 provides eight minutes of wash time. Simply hit the ‘stop’ button when done to end a credit card transaction. There is a $15.00 maximum charge on credit cards.
