The world of fashion is ever-changing, but a wardrobe is never quite complete without a perfect pair of jeans.
Rae Baxter’s, a specialty boutique that has been offering a unique blend of trend-setting women’s fashions and must-have basics since 1950, invites women of all ages to attend the NYDJ Trunk Show on September 24th from 9:30am-4:00pm at the downtown Marshfield shop.
Not only is the boutique increasing selection and inventory, there will also be an expert from NYDJ, Jayne May, on site to help shoppers find the perfect-fitting pair of jeans and offer insight on the best style, fit and wash for each body type.
“She will be able to explain exactly what NYDJ can do for you,” said Carol Knauf, who has owned the namesake boutique since 1975 and prior to that worked for the founder, Rae (Rachel) Baxter.
Knauf has an extensive background in the fashion industry and attends markets several times a year to bring a unique mix of contemporary, upscale clothing and jewelry back to the Marshfield store. Her store is one of just two stores that a NYDJ Fit representative visits.
She added that NYDJ's Lift Tuck® Technology subtly reshapes curves to help wearers look and feel a complete size smaller. “They are known for holding the tummy in and the butt up,” she said.
Rae Baxter’s joins a unique list of downtown Marshfield shops that showcase small, boutique lines not found in big stores as well as up-and-coming designers, so after finding a perfect pair of jeans (and buying a second pair for 30% off during Saturday’s special), shoppers can wander into other shops for jewelry, home decor, and more!
“Come in and try a pair on,” encouraged Knauf. “Once you put them on, you won’t want to take them off.”
