PITTSVILLE, WI (Explore) – A new Farmer’s Market kicks off on Wednesday evening, June 30th in Pittsville.

From 4 to 7 p.m., vendors will be set up in the parking lot of Baum’s Mercantile. In addition to produce, booths will also feature prepared foods, arts & crafts and other items for sale. The first food truck of the season will be Everythang Tacos.

“We’re excited to have something new to bring people to downtown Pittsville,” stated organizer Andrea Galvan, owner of Apothecary. “It’s a great opportunity for folks to stop by after work, pick something up for dinner or visit other businesses.”

Galvan and friends put this together in about 2 weeks time, and are encouraged by the initial interest from vendors. They expect it to grow as the summer goes by. “The plan is to have a food truck every week and to start adding activities for kids like face painting and balloon animals,” she added.

The Pittsville Downtown Farmer’s Market will be held every Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Sunday version will begin on July 11th, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
