Mills Fleet Farm Opens Toyland for Holiday Shopping

Toyland Marks Start of Holiday Shopping Season

by Bailey Gabrielle – Start holiday shopping at Mills Fleet Farm Saturday, Oct. 14 for the opening day of Toyland. Historically, the opening of Toyland has marked the start of the holiday season for shoppers as toys, winter clothing, and Christmas decorations become available.

“We have our fall and winter clothing out and ready for the season, as well as a large selection of sporting goods and hunting products, and some of the ice fishing articles,” said Todd Cichon, store manager.

Every Mills Fleet Farm location holds the Toyland Opening Event which runs from October 14 until October 16.

“Shoppers can earn up to $25 of Mills Money,” said Cichon. “If they spend $75, they can get $10 in Mills Money. If they spend over $150, they get $25 in Mills Money. Shoppers can use that Mills Money for a future purchase.”

Early Christmas shoppers can enjoy sale prices on this season’s new toys. “Many of the toys are on sale until November 4,” added Cichon. “Sale prices can be found in the Toyland catalogue.”

Doors will open at 6 a.m. and the first 300 customers will receive a free Melissa and Doug wooden construction toy.

“This is one of the events that prior to opening we will probably have 100 or more people waiting to get in,” said Cichon. “We see lots of kids in the store with their grandparents and moms and dads. It’s just a fun day for everyone involved.”
