“As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on donations and fundraisers in order to provide our services to the community,” said Karen Rau, volunteer Executive Director. “We need to host numerous fundraisers a year to help offset our many expenses such as employee wages, rent, utilities, medical supplies and vet care for our animals.

Last year, over 800 people raised $10,500 for the shelter.

“We care for hundreds of animals every year within our two locations,” she said. “Daily expenses add up quickly, so our fundraisers are a way to generate revenue and give our community an opportunity to support homeless animals!”
