Nothing quite takes you back to the carefree times of childhood like that first lick of ice cream in the springtime. Those of us from Wisconsin sometimes experience that event while still wearing a pretty thick jacket and seeing snow still on the ground. Whatever the weather, next weekend it's ice cream time!
Hub City Ice Cream Company, 1610 S Central Ave, will open their doors for their seventh season Monday, April 1 at 2:00 pm sharp.
They feature 24 flavors of Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream which is made in Madison and offer delicious cones, dishes, sundaes, floats, shakes, malts and slushies. They rotate flavors throughout the season, featuring up to 50-100 flavors by the end of the season.
Owners Dave and Sandy Freeman are excited for the new season and welcome everyone to stop by.
Springtime hours are 2-9 p.m. Monday- Friday, Saturday & Sunday Noon -9 p.m.
Make sure to check out either the salted caramel with cashews or the Zanzibar chocolate, which owners say are the current faves….or try both!
