Easy Organization Tips for the Home
For many, organization is a top New Year’s resolution. Located on North Central Avenue in Marshfield, Kabinet Konnection’s designers are equipped to help tackle everything from a simple closet remodel to a full home makeover. “In the kitchen, there are different gadgets you can add into your cabinets, such as drawer organizers for utensils so it’s not all just one big mess,” said Alyson Goldbach, designer. “You can create cubbies or put a silverware divider in junk drawers.”
For the bedroom or any closet space, a closet system is key.
“Definitely get a closet system. It’s a lot better that just having everything hanging from one height. You can have shelves and drawers. You can really use the whole space not just hang at one level,” said Goldbach.
Goldbach and owner Angela Ford will even take measurements of a closet and design a system to fit any needs.
“Same with the kitchen,” said Goldbach. “We can come look at your cabinets and make suggestions for drawer organization, rollout shelves, all sorts of gadgets…anything to make it work better.”
Not only do they help clients get organized, Goldbach and Ford also offer expert advice regarding remodels, and both are up-to-date on the latest trends and ideas.
“Color-wise, grey is very popular right now,” said Goldbach. “Dark stained wood is also very popular. Wood grain is making a comeback as it’s more natural looking.”
Design-wise, Goldbach said that clean lines are becoming more prevalent, with fewer ornate designs.
“People are more concerned with function and storage,” she said. “They want things to look nice, but be more functional.”
