Find Great Deals on Equipment and Apparel at First Annual Sports Den Tent Sale

Get Winter Sporting Equipment at the Sports Den’s Ski Swap and Tent Sale

If your closet is cluttered with winter sporting equipment your family has outgrown, bring it to the Sports Den’s annual ski swap occurring Oct. 16-21. Also check out the sporting goods store’s first ever tent sale the same week.

“It’s a really good way for people to clean out their basements and garages of stuff for hobbies they are no longer interested in, or make room for new stuff,” said Breanna VanDehey, store manager. “We take in customer’s used downhill cross, country, snowboard, and fat bike items, and assuming they are in good condition, give the customer an estimate.”

If the store is able to sell the items, a non-expiring 70% store credit is given. The credit from a pair of outgrown boots that sell, for example, can be used toward buying a larger size at the swap or inside the store. Credit can also be used with Sports Den services. While the swap may occur next week, customers can still bring in items at other times of the year to sell them.

For the first time, the Sports Den will be having a tent sale with deals on brand-new winter equipment, bikes, and apparel. Since the store will have a tent set up for the breast cancer ride/run on the 14th, VanDehey said, they decided to keep the tent up and have a sale. The tent is located on the south side of the parking lot.

“We have new equipment, skis, snowboards, and lots and lots of apparel,” she added. The apparel, featuring brands like Smartwool and North Face, will be 50-70 percent off. Trek and Specialized bikes, K2 skis, and Saloman snowboards will fetch sales around 20-40 percent. Cash, and Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit and debit cards are all accepted payments.

During the tent sale, sign up for a chance to win a free season pass to Granite Peak. No purchase is necessary to enter the drawing, which will take place Sat. November 11. Then trade in your old equipment, or better yet, discover a new hobby that will keep you active through the long winter.
