Breast Cancer Benefit Being Held for Jenny Delis Miller

Jenny Delis Miller, 44, has been a longtime supporter of the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation, walking in memory of her mother, who lost her battle in 2009.

In November 2018, Jenny herself was unexpectedly diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a less common type that’s also very aggressive.

“She started her breast cancer journey by participating in a research program that will hopefully help future patients with triple negative breast cancer,” said Jamie Kundinger, Jenny’s sister. “She is now actively being treated with a high dose chemotherapy due to the aggressive nature of this cancer and will endure many weeks of chemo.”

A benefit will be held for the mother of three at American Legion Post 54 in Marshfield on March 2 from 1-7 p.m. Over 50 quality raffle baskets, multiple silent auction items, and gift certificates are available to win. Meal tickets are sold at the door and there is no entry fee.

The event also includes a Henna artist, face and rock painting, photo booth, balloon maker, and games.

Jenny graduated from Spencer High School in 1993 and moved to Madison as a manager for Payless ShoeSource. A veteran, she served for 8 years in the Army National Guard, four years active. Many of her family and friends live in Marshfield.

Proceeds will help the family with the financial burden of upcoming treatments. “Although Jenny’s age and health give her a positive outlook, she will need support financial as she recently lost her job with Payless ShoeSource after 21 years,” said Kundinger.

A benefit account for Jenny is available at Forward Bank in Marshfield. Donations can be made through mail or by calling or stopping in.
