Nutz Deep II Dine to Donate Event to Benefit Kristen Dean July 29

Residents can give back just by dining out at Nutz Deep II’s Dine to Donate night on Monday, July 29 from 4-9 p.m.

Fifteen percent of all food sales that night will benefit lifelong Marshfield resident Kristen Dean, who received an unexpected diagnosis of stage 2 breast cancer in March. Proceeds will help with medical costs, including intense chemotherapy treatments, radiation, and surgery.

“Kristen is someone that we’ve gotten to know, as she had her baby shower and bridal shower with us,” said Ann Dieringer, Nutz Deep II manager. “When we learned about her diagnosis, we wanted to help.”

The daughter of Dave and Sue Gaulke and a 2003 graduate of Marshfield High School, Kristen and her husband became first-time parents to daughter Sailor last August.

“Kristen is probably one of the most loving caring people that I know. She will do anything to help you out at any time,” said Connie Church, friend and organizer for the event. “She’s always got a smile on her face. She is a person that’s loved by many people and cared about. Anything we can do to help her during this time, I know that she would give it back 100 times more.”

The family appreciates the support they’ve already received from the community, including for a successful T-shirt fundraiser which sold 500 shirts and had 19 business sponsors.

Nutz Deep II is a favorite family-owned downtown destination, winning “Best of Marshfield” awards for its burgers, cheese curds, fish fry, nightlife, and more. Find it at 809 S Central Ave.
