Explore – High school juniors and seniors interested in preparing for the ACT exam are encouraged to register for UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield’s ACT Prep class held Feb. 2 through Continuing Education.
Taught by University professors and respected instructors, this course covers main subjects of the exam. Find out what type of math, English and science to focus on. Course will cover algebra, geometry & trigonometry problem solving; the proper usage of the English language, including rhetoric skills and mechanics; and analysis and interpretation of scientific research summaries and conflicting hypotheses. Sample tests and test-taking strategies from multiple resources will be shared.
The ACT Prep course is Saturday, February 2, 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The course fee is $45. Pre-registration is required. Register online at www.marshfield.uwc.edu/ce or by calling the Continuing Education Office at 715-389-6520.
