Sign Up By August 1 for a T-Shirt
Nutz Deep II’s signature run returns this year on August 18, this time benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network, which has a location in Marshfield. Children’s Miracle Network treats children for asthma and broken bones, to birth defects and cancer.
Run Your Nutz Off events to date have been successful in fundraising for various causes and attract hundreds of runners and walkers. “Nutz Deep II has raised over $60,000 with this event with all the funds staying local,” said Ann Dieringer, event coordinator.
The event will take place at the bar with a 2 and 5 miles race with a post-race celebration which includes food, outdoor beer garden, music, raffle and silent auction and awards ceremony. All ages are welcome, and strollers are allowed. Shirts are guaranteed for those who sign up by August 1.
Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. with the professionally timed 2-mile race at 9:45 a.m. and the 5-mile at 10 a.m. Celebrations begin at 10:30 a.m. with medals to the top three male and female finishers. Cost is $25 before August 1 and $30 after. Same-day registration is $33. Each runner will receive two drink tickets and a cup to be used for either beer or root beer.
