Marshfield Tiger Booster Club
“We are the Tigers, the mighty, mighty Tigers…”
I can still hear those chants from younger years attending school in Marshfield. As anyone who lives in Marshfield knows, we take our athletics seriously.
But our athletic programs do often require outside support from the community. One of the main avenues of support is the Marshfield Tiger Booster Club, which is currently in its 34th year.
According to the group’s President, Mike Trudeau, “it is a not-for-profit volunteer organization whose objective is to support all athletic programs of the Marshfield High School and Marshfield Middle School.”
The Booster Bash, on September 24, is the group’s largest fundraiser and Trudeau hopes it is a success because it helps financially support all that the group tries to do.
“Proceeds raised from last year alone have helped to provide: boys hockey uniforms, Marshfield Middle School softball uniforms, Marshfield Middle School football uniforms, Marshfield High School replacement baseball uniforms, basketball shooting gun, golf range finders, weight room equipment, Marshfield Middle School safety padding in gym, several coaches clinics, basketball and football All Star sponsorships, as well as the MTBC All Sports Awards Night,” he said.
He hopes the event itself will be a good time too.
“This event is an evening of fun, camaraderie, and entertainment for all Tiger fans, parents, coaches and alumni! Our sports teams and area businesses donate baskets to be raffled or auctioned off each year. There is a great variety of items – something for everyone We also have live auction items that attract a lot of attention – our premier live auction item is naming rights for the Marshfield High School Field
House,” Trudeau said.
The night features a dinner, DJ, Chinese raffles, silent auctions, live auction, games, door prizes and cash prizes. Tickets are $25 each to attend. Must be 21 years of age. Raffle tickets are sold for $10/tickets. The grand prize is $1000.
Tickets are available at the Marshfield Middle School office, Marshfield High School office, or from any Marshfield Tiger Booster Club board member. Tickets will be $30 if you get them at the door the night of the event.
