Main Street Holiday Parade Includes Window Display Competition

Annual Holiday Parade Set for Nov. 16

Get in the holiday spirit this season by attending Marshfield’s annual Holiday Parade. There will be about twenty floats showcasing the holiday spirit of downtown and community businesses from 6:30-7:30 on November 16.

“It’s a great community gathering of events where we celebrate the holidays and the small town charm of Christmas downtown,” said Kaelie Gomez, executive director of Main Street Marshfield. “We have a myriad of different types of business that are getting involved, from banks to DJs and churches. We’re really excited to see the community creativity.”

The parade also marks the unveiling of downtown holiday window displays, with a competition for the best one. Vote for your favorite on the Main Street Marshfield Facebook page. The winning business gets bragging rights for having the most creative display.

“It’s fun to see what each business owner comes up with,” Gomez said. Some of the businesses will have specials and will have treats. GypsyGems will have brownies, cookies, coffee and cider. PJ’s Tropical Paradise will have tropical wines and craft beers. The Swamp will have hot chocolate, and Circle the Date will have cookies and hot chocolate.
