The Hannah Center Develops Short-Term Housing Program

Hannah Center Invites Groups to Adopt-A-Room

In response to community need, the Hannah Center is developing a short-term Urgent Housing program that will give women in crisis a place to stay for two weeks while waiting to be admitted into a long-term program at the center.

The Hannah Center, a nonprofit without government funding, works with women to learn life skills and work through tough times so that she can move forward with confidence. The organization is looking for groups to “Adopt-a-Room” at the center and make it over depending on that room’s need, whether it’s a new coat of paint or a complete remodel. Two of the rooms have been adopted and will be used for the Urgent Housing program.

If interested in adopting a room, call the Hannah Center at 715-387-6300 to schedule a tour. Watch this video for an in-depth look at the program.
