Marshfield will have its own Christmas tree lighting ceremony inspired by the big cities this holiday season.
Wenzel Family Plaza will be decorated with 10 six-foot trees and one 20-foot tree. A simple ceremony will take place at about 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14 to celebrate the lighting of the trees.
Small trees were sponsored and decorated by local businesses. The big tree will be a focal point of the Plaza and may even be visible from Central Avenue, said Mark Davis, Plaza Event Coordinator.
The public is welcome to view the trees lit up each evening until December 31. There is parking available right next to the Plaza, which is located downtown on S. Chestnut Avenue.
