Meet Your Local Law Enforcement at Ice Cream with a Cop

Meet with your local police force for a friendly chat this Saturday when Ice Cream with a Cop returns this Saturday, June 29 at Melody Gardens.

Lt. Geurink and Officer Gross of the Marshfield Police Department will be present to meet with members of the public from 10-11 a.m. Everyone, big or little, is invited to drop by and ask say hello.

“It’s absolutely casual conversation,” said Geurink. “We can bring up whatever anyone wants to talk about.”

The department debuted the event last year to replace Coffee with a Cop and open it up to families. This summer, additional ice cream events at various locations will be announced on the department’s Facebook page.

“This is just another way that we can be a little more approachable and people can get questions answered,” he said.

Since June’s event takes place on the weekend, they hope the public has a better opportunity to attend Ice Cream with a Cop if they haven’t before.

“Stop by and have some ice cream with us!” Guerink said.
