Sports Den Announces a Group Bike Ride Schedules for Summer 2023

Summer 2023 is fast approaching, and for cycling enthusiasts, it’s time to get ready for some exhilarating rides. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, joining a biking group is a great way to enjoy the thrill of cycling while meeting new people. The Sports Den is excited to announce the newly released group ride schedule for the Marshfield area.

The Summer 2023 ride schedule, is packed with exciting rides. As you’ll see from the schedule below, the group caters to all levels of cyclists, from beginners to advanced riders so there’s an event for everyone.

(Starting the week of May 15th, Weather permitting)

Mondays

  • 6:00 P.M. meet @ The Sports Den, Road ride “Tempo ride”, 18+ MPH average, 25+ miles.

Tuesdays

  • 6:00 – 6:15 P.M. meet @ The Sports Den, “We Just Wanna Ride” Road ride – 14-15 MPH average, approx. 20 miles, no drop ride. Beers afterwards if desired.

Wednesdays

  • 6:00 P.M. meet @ The Sports Den, “This is Serious” A-rider Road Ride, 20+ MPH average, 30+ miles.
  • 6:30 P.M. meet @ Powers Bluff or Marshfield School Forest (may switch back and forth) for “Mountain Bike group ride”, may split into groups when we get there. No drop ride, 6-10 miles. Bring beer if you want for afterward.

 • 9:00 A.M. “Old Retired Dudes” road ride, meet at the Wildwood Park Train parking lot,       12-14 MPH average, 15-25 miles, conversation pace, no drop ride.

Thursdays

  • “Ice cream ride”, whole family invited. Meet @ The Sports Den at 6:15 p.m. E-bikes, cruisers, mountain bikes, road bikes, etc. Take a tour of the town, the park, etc., and then stop at one of our great places in town for Ice Cream afterward. (Hub City, Webers, DQ, Melody Gardens, etc.) No drop ride, we ride to the slowest person. A fun and conversational type of ride sticking to mostly bike trails and routes within the city.

Sundays

  • 8:30 A.M. “Coffee Ride” starting from Uptown Coffee, back parking lot. Hour or so casual ride around town, then more COFFEE :). All bikes/riders are welcome.
