Mother’s Day Art Fair has New Venue

Annual Art Fair to be held at Fairgrounds

New Visions Gallery celebrates moms in Central Wisconsin with a day of fun at their annual Mother’s Day Art Fair. The Marshfield Fairgrounds will host the event from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 14th. (Previously, the event was held at Marshfield High School.)

The Art Fair displays a variety of arts and crafts from a number of vendors. This year will see a growth in the high end area of the field along with additional food options. The increase in crafters has led to an expansion of the area and now includes two buildings on the fair grounds.

Bobbie Erwin, director of New Visions Gallery, said with popularity of the event growing, it made sense to expand.

“Moving the art fair to the Wood County (Marshfield) Fairgrounds allows for expansion of what is offered at the fair, while still keeping things indoors in case of inclement weather,” she said. “We are excited to add the craft component this year as well as expanded food offerings.”

“The fairgrounds also offer an existing set up for events such as this which means that services such as electrical are already in place,” she added. “With the additional space at this location, we are also able to allow for future expansion of the event.”

Now in its 54th year, the Mother’s Day Art Fair will also offer something for the kids that join mom for the day. More details on these activities will be released in the weeks to come.

Erwin said the event offers a little something for everyone. “The art fair is truly a Marshfield tradition and celebration of the arts. Whether you are looking for a last-minute gift for you mom on Mother’s Day or a new piece for your collection, you are sure to find it at the art fair,” she said. “We offer a wide variety of fine arts and crafts by local, regional and national artists as well as food, entertainment, and art activities for children.”
