Downtown Friday Nights Offers Live Music This Summer

June Events Will Take Place at Hardacre Park, Chestnut Center for the Arts

There are even more options for entertainment this summer. Live music will be coming to “Downtown Friday Nights” starting June 1, as a partnership between Chestnut Center for the Arts and Main Street Marshfield.

“We really wanted to give people in Marshfield and surrounding communities the opportunity to see live music,” said Executive Director Adam Smrcka, Chestnut Center, which has offered Friday night performances for a year.

Of the five upcoming performances, three will be at Hardacre Park in June. Vendors interested in setting up by the park are welcome to contact Main Street Marshfield. Thanks to Marshfield Area Community Foundation, the park performances are free, and the concerts at the Chestnut Center are only $5. Once construction is finished, the Wenzel Family Plaza will be the new site for the Hardacre Park concerts.

The series is an opportunity to support bands from the Central Wisconsin area who typically craft their own music, though cover bands are also welcome. Greenbury Luck, an up-tempo rock band, will kickoff June. Lor Chang, Foxfire Affair, and First Avenue will also perform as the series continues.
