Schalow’s Nursery Fall Fun Weekend (More Info)

Join Schalow’s Nursery this weekend for Fall Fun Weekend! This casual, come-and-go crafting event and plant sale is running Sat. Sept. 23 from 8-5 and Sun. Sept 24. from 9-3. On Saturday, you can create a picket fence scarecrow at 2pm for $25 per person. Call the Garden Center at 715-591-3488 to register (15 person limit). All materials are provided. Either day, drop in to stuff a scarecrow for the front porch or garden. Cost is $15. Be sure to bring along the kids and frost your own pumpkin sugar cookie for free.

Market on Sixth Kegerator Kickoff (More Info)

Celebrate Market on Sixth’s new kegerator! The store will host tastings of two craft Oktoberfest beers on tap. Pair it with cheese and listen to live music starting at 1 p.m. by the Central Wisconsin, acoustic folk-rock duo FoxFire Affair.

Grab a friend and drop-in during our business hours and plant your own pumpkin with succulents! This unique & festive project can serve as an adorable centerpiece on your table or a nice addition to your porch.

John Harrington Memorial Walk (More Info)
Saturday 7-9:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 7 until 8:15 a.m. in the gymnasium lobby. Strollers and pets are welcome. The start of the race will be at 7th street by the gym parking lot at 8:30, and follows a course designed by John for a wellness run that began in the late 80s and ran until 1992, in order to promote community wellness.
Dedication of John Harrington Memorial Athletic Fields at the end of 8th street will follow at 9:30, where there are tennis courts and ball fields. Cost for participation is $15. Funds raised will go toward prostate cancer research efforts at the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation.

Our Lady of Peace Fall Festival (More Info)

Our Lady of Peace Parish’s Annual Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017, beginning at 11:00am. New this year is the fantastic Ben Riser & the Whiskey River Band. There will be our famous grilled chicken dinner with baked potato bar, cole slaw & dessert, plus lot more food items, bounce houses, raffle (first prize-$1000 cash, second prize- Packer tickets, third prize -$500 cash, fourth prize -$250 cash, fifth prize -$150 script/gift cards) and raffle tables. Please join us for food, fun and camaraderie.

Leslie Lemke Live in Concert (More Info)

Leslie is a “Prodigious Savant” blind and disabled since birth. Yet he can remember a piece of music of any length and play it back flawlessly after a single hearing. A gift discovered by his adoptive mother, May Lemke, when Leslie was just 14 years old. Leslie has performed concerts worldwide and has been featured on numerous TV programs including the CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes, That’s Incredible and more. Built in 1880, Upham Mansion, located at 212 West Third Street, is named for William Henry Upham, the 18th Governor of Wisconsin and a man that many credit for giving Marshfield its stable foundation.

DINOSAUR EXHIBIT at the Library (More Info)
Throughout September
The Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library is thrilled to welcome back the Age of Dinosaurs.  William B. Mielke’s extensive dinosaur collection will be on display throughout the entire first floor of the library for the whole month of September.  The dinosaurs are sure to amaze all ages with their size and sounds!
