This month, warm up with homemade soups at Weiler Convenience Store in Marshfield.
Their 4th Street location features fresh, made-from-scratch soups perfect to warm up on a cold day. Each day features something different, from cream of mushroom to chicken noodle.
“It’s just something to warm you,” said Pam Curtis-Schneider, deli manager. “I love homemade soups. It just makes everything smell so good.”
Pam comes in early to chop the onions, carrots, and celery, and start cooking the soups. “It’s not soup from a bag,” she said. “We make it all here. Everyone who has had it has said it’s phenomenal.”
Weiler prides itself on offering a wide variety of fresh food throughout the year. As the weather turns cooler, new offerings include comfort foods such as hamburger hot dish with stewed tomatoes, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn, and lasagna with garlic bread.
