Warm Up with a Tom and Jerry Holiday Cocktail

Tom and Jerry Mix Available at Festival Foods

Winter conjures up images of a cozy blanket and a mug of hot chocolate in hand, but another drink you can warm up with this holiday season is a Tom and Jerry.

“Tom and Jerry is a form of eggnog made with rum and brandy typically served warm or hot,” said Logan Bottlemy, Wine and Spirits Manager at Festival Foods. “Its ingredients are mostly egg white with some sugar and nutmeg. The flavor is similar to that of eggnog as it shares most of the same ingredients.”

A Tom and Jerry drink can be made by whipping egg whites, sugar, vanilla, rum, brandy, topping it with nutmeg and whipped cream.

To streamline the process, Festival Foods carries two types of Tom and Jerry mix. Stop by the Frozen Dairy department by the bakery for Mrs. Bowen’s brand mix for Festival’s Own Tom and Jerry mix.
