Viaduct Bar to Celebrate Grand Re-Opening

Located next to the railroad tracks on the west side of town, Viaduct Bar is an iconic Marshfield spot. Owned by Mary Lou and Butch Duerr for nearly three decades, the bar continues to flourish under new owner Ashley Marie Schreiner, who purchased the bar in January.

“I am very close friends to the Duerr Family and the family knew I was truly interested in owning my own bar/restaurant, so when the previous owners made the decision to retire they came and talked with me about owning the business….the rest is history!” said Schreiner.

Schreiner will be the 6th owner in the bar’s long history, its establishment dating back to the 1950’s.

“Since the age of 15, when I started washing dishes at Crabby Dave’s here in Marshfield, I knew that I wanted to own my own establishment one day,” said Schreiner. “I love the people and all the new and old faces, I love to cook and making customers happy, and people are always happy with food and drinks!”

IMG_1354With their ½ pound mouth-watering burgers famous throughout the City, homemade beer-battered fish fries, bloody mary bar, pool table, home of the “hangover challenge,” and with a small outdoor seating area, Viaduct Bar is a great place to eat and make new friends.

“We are the only bar that stills offers $.50 pool games and match $5.00 for $5.00 on the jukebox everyday all day long,” said Schreiner.

She encourages everyone to come for great food and a great friendly atmosphere.

This Saturday, August 27, beginning at 1:00pm, Viaduct will celebrate a grand re-opening as Ashley Marie’s Viaduct Bar. Events will include a bean bag tournament, pig roast, DJ, drink specials, and prizes! Call 715-305-1973 to enter the tournament ($20 registration fee).
