Third Thursdays will be back this summer treating Marshfield shoppers and families alike to a downtown shopping with great deals and fun activities.
From June 16 to September 15 Main Street
Marshfield and downtown businesses will collaborate to feature longer hours, special promotions, family activities, art, and entertainment on the Third Thursday of every month.
In addition to the in-store promotions encouraging shoppers to check out the downtown shops and services, there will be many special events that are perfect for families including musical talent, bounce houses, caricature artists, and face painting.
“Third Thursdays is about celebrating our downtown and local businesses. A downtown is really the heartbeat of any city and we want to show Marshfield what we all have to offer here. Third Thursdays is a good reason to break away from the daily routine, show your local support, and experience our community in a fun, leisurely way,” said Main Street Marshfield Executive Director Angela Eloranta.
The businesses work hard to pull the event together for the community and think it is important to show their collaboration.
“I feel that collaboration with downtown businesses for our Third Thursday shows shoppers that we are not here to compete with each other but rather to offer a personal and enjoyable shopping experience in our many unique downtown stores,” said My Oh My Boutique owner Barb Mueller.
One of the new items this year is an evening Farmers’ Market that will feature cooking demonstrations on how to best utilize tasty, seasonal ingredients.
“The Third Thursday event gives residents and visitors an opportunity to have a fun evening in the downtown and maybe discover a new store or restaurant they weren’t aware of. Exposure is key for businesses and this is a good way to encourage shoppers to support the local economy and help Marshfield grow into a vibrant community,” Mueller said.
