Swap Out Your Child’s Library at United Way Book Swap

Looking to swap out your child’s library? Attend the Marshfield Area United Way book swap at the Grant Elementary parking lot on Thursday June 21 from 10-12 p.m. for a free way to enjoy new reading material. Children are encouraged to attend and swap out books they no longer read for different ones. There is no set limit, only bring a book for each book taken.

The event is organized by the United Way to encourage reading during summer vacation. “We have a great collection of gently used children books at all reading levels,” said Ashley Winch, Communications Director. “Oftentimes children have advanced their reading level throughout the school year. The book swap is a free and easy way to exchange those books they are no longer reading for ones that are at their current reading level.”

In case of rain, the event will be pushed back by one day. Participants can keep an eye on the United Way Facebook page for updates.

Stick around in the afternoon to volunteer with the downtown clean-up crew from 2-4. More information on the event can be found at this link. Water and snacks are provided along with high-visibility Live United shirts.
