Looking forward to that first taste of caramelly coffee goodness helps me get through the morning of preparing one of my “littles” for 4K while trying to simultaneously get myself ready for work. Without it, I think some mornings I might start to cry (I am kidding...kind of).
After I drop the little guy off at school and do all the obligatory things such as putting his Ziploc baggie in his cubby, and hanging his coat in his locker and saying three good byes… if I rush to my car…I have just enough time to go get my Bigby fix.
Now don’t get me wrong…I am an equal opportunity coffee drinker.
When I am in Target being persuaded by their marketing gods to spend too much money, I love me some Starbucks. And the Coffee Cabin has my favorite Chai. And when I want a combo of a good lunch + coffee, the best place is the Daily Grind.
But, in the morning, Bigby provides me the perfect combination of location+ drive up+ sarcasm and/or over enthusiasm of their employees.
And today is the BEST DAY because it is my FREE COFFEE DAY. You see, if you have their Bigby card, you get a free coffee after you buy 12. So today, I get to drink my caffeine fix with none of the “I shouldn’t be buying coffee” guilt.
It tastes so glorious. It is makes me feel like Super Mom…like now I can do this. I don’t need a radioactive spider or a nuclear blast (My “little” might be into superheroes). I just need my Bigby coffee: a frozen mocha caramel with no whip, to be exact.
Universe, give me your best shot. (I mean not really though, just trying to write a fun blog here…) I can take the impending snowstorm, and the toddler fits, and the messy house…as long as I am caffeinated. And maybe wine later…but I haven’t found a drive up for that yet though.
