Sports Den Celebrating Over 20 Years with Customer Appreciation Event

The Sports Den has been a part of the community for over 20 years and wants to thank all of its customers with a “Spread the Love” appreciation event on Saturday, March 16 from 5-8:30 p.m.

“It’s just our way of saying thanks to all the customers who have helped us expand into what we are and for being such a great community,” said Breanna VanDeHey, sales manager.

All are welcome to this free event, no registration necessary, to enjoy free refreshments and snacks, raffle prizes, and 15% off storewide.

Bring non-perishable, non-expired food, cleaning, or laundry items to get entered into door prizes. All donations go toward stocking the shelves at Soup of Socks, local food pantry and clothes closet.

“For every food item they bring in, they’ll be getting a raffle ticket for the door prizes that we’ll be giving away throughout the evening,” said VanDeHey.

The Sports Den is a locally owned sports retailer located in downtown Marshfield that offers a variety of bikes, repair and rental services, sports gear, and more. This winter, they are offering skate sharpening, ski and snowboard waxing, and rentals.

The business started out in 1973 as Nelson Bike and Camping on 14th Street in Marshfield, and was renamed Perkins Sports in 1979 before becoming The Sports Den in 1998 when current owner Denny Riedel took over.
