Shop Local on Small Business Saturday
As the biggest shopping weekend of the year approaches, there is a way to make sure dollars spent are kept in the community- shopping local! Small Business Saturday is a national day dedicated to encouraging shoppers to buy local, and Marshfield area residents can enjoy many specials this year.
“Small Business Saturday is a day to highlight the act of shopping small and the impact it has on our local economy,” said Angie Eloranta, Executive Director at Main Street Marshfield. “It’s important to shop small all year round, but with the holidays approaching, this day reminds people to do their shopping at their neighborhood stores.”
She added that in addition to giving gifts to friends and family, shoppers are also giving back to their community by buying local.
“People should buy local because they are supporting their neighbors!” said Eloranta. “By shopping local, we are ensuring the continuation of the small businesses, and our small businesses are what makes our community special!”
