Children are taught to respect others and themselves, and given the opportunity to grow physically, socially, emotionally, and academically.
Exercising the belief that play is extremely important to a child’s learning and growing, the majority of children’s development occurs during “free choice” instead of in teach-led activities. Cultural diversity is also a priority in daily activities.
Serving families of infants through preschool age, children are assigned to a daily schedule based on their age. Infants and toddlers are given a safe, creative, and secure environment in which children can learn, play, and grow. At this age, playtime, language development, and sensory exploration are most important.
In the “Twos,” children get a balance of nurturing playtime and learning throughout the day, including plenty of group activities. They are taught social skills such as cooperation, sharing, and taking turns, as well as socialization, manners, listening to stories, and working on potty training.
Preschool children participate in structured preschool activities to learn about the world around them. At this age, children begin to understand group play and become better at communicating their thoughts. Weekly themes are interwoven into the curriculum, which includes math, science, language, and social skills.
