Popular Golf Spot in Marshfield Opens
Tee time is here! RiverEdge Golf Course is now open for the 2018 season.
“As far as on-course playability, the facility provides a challenging, yet enjoyable, round of golf for players of all ages and skill level,” said owner Jay Holm. “The front nine is a more open concept visually and offers less overall yardage, while the back nine is more tree lined and significantly longer in yardage.”
He added that the full eighteen holes is spread out over 166 total acres that navigates around water hazards, between areas of forest, and through the RiverEdge housing subdivision. The Clubhouse and multiple holes on the course are also set along the banks of the Yellow River, which winds through the property.
More than ever before, golf as a sport is more welcoming to newcomers, and RiverEdge is a great place to get started.
“First time players can often be skeptical about golf due to the perception that sports has often been associated with only the elite. However, the golf industry has changed drastically over the last twenty years and now more than ever caters to beginners and families,” said Holm. “Our friendly staff understands the needs of people who are new to the game and will help in anyway to help make your time at RiverEdge enjoyable and fun.”
Membership rates range from the $350 range for Youth to the $1500 dollar range for couples/families. However, you do not have to be a member to take advantage of the golf course.
“Our main objective is to offer a multitude of options that create the opportunity to address not only the full time membership player but also those with a more restricted schedule,” said Holm. “The golf business is no longer geared specifically towards the traditional player. Our competitive daily rates, early bird and twilight rates, and multi-round punch card packages ensure that we accommodate golfers of all schedules.”
