MACY Invites Students Grades 9-12 to 2017 Retreat
MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Outreach and Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth invite students from Marshfield public and private schools entering grades 9-12 to attend the 2017 Youth Initiatives Retreat. The retreat will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 31, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 502 W. McMillan St., Marshfield.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a tour of the city to learn more about programs in the community that focus on alcohol and other drug abuse. The tour includes Frederic Ozanam Transitional Shelter, Marshfield Fire Department, Marshfield Medical Center Emergency Room and Marshfield Police Department. They also will learn about current drug trends, the K9 program, naloxone, underage drinking and other community programs to reduce substance abuse.
This event is free to attend and lunch is provided. Join us for a day of fun and a chance to win prizes.
