Parks & Recreation Summer Activities

Parks & Recreation Summer brochure is now available! You can pick up a copy at the Parks and Recreation office, Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce, City Hall and the former City Hall Plaza. You can also view the brochure online at ci.marshfield.wi.us. Registration taken in the office, via mail or online.

Golf for ages 6 through 17. Youth Lessons (ages 6-14) will be held on Sundays, April 28th – May 19th at Duffers Delight Golf Center. Golf camp (ages 9-17) will be held July30th – August 2nd at River Edge Golf Course. Lunches are provided

Fall Soccer for children grades K through 6th. Held Sundays, August 25th – October 13th at Griese Park. Fee increases after July 5th. Registration deadline is July 8th.

Skateboard lessons for ages 8 & up will be held Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from July 29th – Aug 7th at the Marshfield Skatepark.

· Summer trip to Wisconsin Dells starting with the Upper Dells Boat Tour, then time to explore downtown and have lunch, and finish at Timbavati Wildlife Park to see the animals and take a train ride. Trip will take place Tuesday, August 13th. Coach bus will depart from Marshfield at 8:00a.m. and return at 7:00 p.m.

Tennis Lessons for ages 3 & up will be held Monday through Thursday, June 17th – 27th and July 8th – 18th. Evening lessons will be held Mondays, June 17th – July 22nd and Wednesdays, June 19th – July 31th.

3-Sport Ball for ages 4 & 5 will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning, June 11th – July 25th. It will also be held on Mondays in the evening, June 17th – July 22nd.

Baseball for children grades K through 5. Rookie League (Grades K-1) will be held on Wednesdays, June 19th – July 31st. Triple-A League (Grades 1-3) will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 13th- July 25th. Baseball Camp (Grades 4-7) will be held June 10th – June 12th.

Diggers Volleyball Camp will be held Monday through Thursday,
June 17th – 20th for grades 4 & 5 (12:30–2:30 p.m.) and grades 6 & 7
(2:45 – 4:45 p.m.). Also held Monday through Wednesday,
June 10th – 12th for grades 8 & 9 (12:30 – 3:15 p.m.). Held at the Oak Avenue Community Center.

One Day Art Projects: June 11th – Father’s Day Project, June 25th – Tie Dye, July 10 – Little Sculptures and July 9th – Little Sculptures. Parent/Child (ages 4 & 5) and Grades 1 – 6.

· Safety City will be held Monday through Friday, June 17th – 21st at Madison School from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. This program is for children going into 4K & Kindergarten in the fall and will be taught by police and fire fighters. Each day will cover a different topic including fire safety, poison safety, water safety, bus safety, bike safety and more.

The Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Parks & Recreation Association (WPRA), is selling tickets to area attractions and theme parks at discounted rates throughout the summer. The tickets will be on sale mid-May – August 30th. Pick up tickets Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm at the Parks & Recreation office, 211 E. Second Street, Suite 111.
