One-Day Art Classes for Kids

The Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department is offering one-day art classes for ages 4 & 5 (with parent) and also grades 1 to 6 from 9:30–10:15 a.m. on Saturday mornings at the 2nd Street Community Center, 211 E. Second Street.

Canvas Painting Party – January 19: Young artists will receive a canvas board to create a one-of-a-kind painting while exploring color mixing and splatter painting. Come dressed for a messy time!

Mini Sculptures – March 9: This class will allow you to work with moldable, colorful, oven-baking clay. You will create a small animal, plant, food or anything your imagination will allow. Completed art work will be sent home with simple baking instructions.

Silly Science – April 13: Join us in the laboratory! Scientists will experiment with various non-toxic products to create a stress ball, silly putty and playdough.

Mother’s Day Project –May 11: We are keeping this one a surprise!
