New Visions Gallery Fun d’Arts Moves Online

New Visions Gallery: Fun d’Arts Online Auction Event

Another exciting year has begun for New Visions Gallery, and the organization is pleased to announce that their annual Fun d’ Arts fundraiser will be held as an exclusive, online auction this year.

The online event allows anyone in the U.S. to bid on our items – not just the Marshfield community,” said Bobbie Erwin, Gallery Director. “It will expose artists and others who have donated items to a greater audience than the traditional live event would have. The online auction also brings a greater awareness to the gallery and its mission.”

Challenges encountered with the traditional Fun d’ Arts event prompted this change, and the organization is not able to hold the event as previously planned. However, the event is crucial to the gallery’s success.

“Fun d’Arts is the only large fundraiser that we hold and traditionally accounts for 70% of our yearly operating costs,” said Erwin. “Fun d’ Arts has been a major component of funding the mission and operations of New Visions and continues to be through this online auction.”

New Visions has a long history in the community of supporting the visual arts.

“Our goal is to ensure that we provide value to the community through our service and contributions,” Erwin said. “We are committed to maintaining the New Visons Gallery’s high quality programming and thank you for your support of our mission.”

Items are available for preview now at www.biddingforgood.com/fda  with online bidding starting February 1st at 8am through midnight, February 4th. Bidding is open to everyone with the exception of items that cannot be shipped or are noted in the descriptions as ‘local only.’

“Moving to this new format, we are not sure what to expect,” added Erwin. “The gallery’s board of directors has been doing a wonderful job in soliciting donations – with so many amazing opportunities for bidders, we are looking forward to simply raising as much as possible to continue our mission and outreach.”

There are more than 160 items to bid on this year, including Disney World Park Hopper Tickets, a vacation home stay in Germany, gorgeous original artwork, jewelry, tickets to local arts events, gift certificates, a Clyde Wynia “Crane” sculpture and so much more! Many of these items can be viewed in person in the lobby just outside the gallery in the main Marshfield campus building located at 1000 N. Oak Avenue.

“We are looking forward to another great year and we thank you for your support,” said Erwin.
